We may have the best intentions in the world but we can't always predict the impact of what we say or do. To stay in perfect alignment, we have to recognise where our responsibility begins and ends. We can take ownership of our thoughts, our feelings and our beliefs. They all belong to us, and us alone. Just as the opinions and emotions of others belong to them. We have no control over what others think or feel. There is no blame, simply awareness. Blame comes from a victim standpoint that serves no one. Instead, we can develop our own self-awareness to know when we have slipped into judgments of others and when others are mistakenly projecting their responsibility on to us. When we own what is rightfully ours and gently let go of all that is not, we live a peaceful and tuned-in existence.
